Valley Green

This weekend I was busy spending as much time outdoors as I could since it was sooooo beautiful, that I didn't get a chance to post all of my photos. Saturday I spent in Valley Green (for everyone who doesn't know Philly, Valley Green is an amazing park that has a gravel path that follows every bend of the creek) riding bikes with the family and taking in the sites. Of course I had to bring Mimi along for the ride. Here are some of the photos I grabbed along the way.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone! I spent my day with my family outside, enjoying the beautiful weather. Here are a few photos I snapped while in between playing basketball with my nephew and swinging on the swing set with my niece.

Sidenote: I tried a new technique in the picture above. It is called Shutter Zoom and supposed isolate a subject while the background is blurred and has the effect of movement. Didn't nail it just yet, but I will be trying again.

Good Friday

Since today was Good Friday, I was lucky enough to get out of work early and enjoy the beautiful weather (high of 70 degrees!).

Two of my favorite Spring activities are:
1. walking home from work through the park
2. people watching

There is nothing like Spring time in New York, and Central Park is the place to be when it is nice. Everyone comes out: students, runners, tourists, dogs, nannies, performers...never a dull moment. So today after work I took Mimi and headed home on a mission to capture the inner activity of the park.

A Girls Best Friend

Dogs ARE a girls best friend..and the ultimate New York accessory. Unfortunately I don't have one to call my own (just yet), but one day. I can't handle being a single mom, I need a partner and crime to help raise one :)

In the meantime I obsess over every dog I pass on the street. I am constantly pointing out various breeds to family and friends, gushing over their wagging tails or waddling walk. I'm sure it is irritating, but I can't help it: I LOVE dogs.

While I was visiting my cousin this past winter, I took the opportunity to snap some photos of her adorable dog Jada on the beach.

There was also this Beagle that I couldn't help but capture. He was obsessed with his orange ball....it was like my buddy and me.
